Royal wedding and its effect on the fashion industry.

    For a season now the future trend has been shifting to the English fashion. At the Pitti in Florence,Italy  there were strong influences of it. The textile factories I visited were already manufacturing a lot of interesting tweeds. So when Kings Speech won so many awards at the Oscars, I knew the F/W will be oh so English! The royal wedding sealed the deal! We have been seeing a lot of lace even before HRH Kate Middleton´s wedding dress had it. The neckline of the wedding gown is something we should all be prepared to see more of in the coming seasons, adapted by other designers. The Queens yellow was definitely interesting and is another shade to be watched out for, in my opinion. Then of cause Victoria Beckham wore her baby bump very elegantly.
     So this year and I guess the next 3 is going to be seeing a lot of British influences on fashion. Capes, British tweed, lace, lady like dresses and very correct gentlemen.
